Marcegaglia Buildtech had the privilege of participating in the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Rome on July 10–11, 2025—an international event that brought together over 6,000 participants from 70 countries, resulting in nearly 200 signed agreements and memoranda worth approximately €11 billion.
In a context still marked by war, what stood out most was the extraordinary determination of the Ukrainian people: institutional representatives, entrepreneurs, and citizens who, despite ongoing hardship, are already working with vision and resolve toward a future of reconstruction, growth, and European integration.
The conference was also marked by strong political and financial commitment, including the announcement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen of a new €2.3 billion EU support package, consisting of:
• €1.8 billion in loan guarantees
• €580 million in grants
• Potential to mobilize up to €10 billion in investments
