Italy at the forefront of Ukraine's reconstruction: Over half a trillion euros needed
Italy is preparing to play a key role in Ukraine’s reconstruction, an ambitious project that will require investments exceeding 500 billion euros. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Antonio Tajani, emphasized the importance of involving Italian companies during the event “On the Road to URC 2025”,which was attended by Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Julia Svyrydenko, and the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana.
Marcegaglia Buildtech participated in the conference, confirming its strong interest in actively contributing to Ukraine’s reconstruction and offering its expertise in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
The event, organized in preparation for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 (URC), scheduled to take place in Rome on July 10-11, 2025, highlighted not only the urgency of rebuilding Ukraine but also the opportunity to modernize it through an innovative "building back better" approach. Moreover, it represents a significant step in fostering the involvement of Italian businesses, outlining a path for collaboration between the two countries in the face of the great challenge of reconstruction.
